After the success of Hand Me Down, the Norwegian rap/ soul duo Madcon asked me to make a video for their upcoming summer single Dandelion, a slow warm song with lots of love and chill. Madcon's manager and I decided to try and make "a video for the ladies". For me this meant to communicate a deeper, more romantic and intimate level and less "sexy" approach. All ladies I showed it to liked it, particularly since the other Madcon videos are playing around with sexual stereotypes. I thought I was on track to attract new listeners to Madcon. Sadly however, the video was rejected on most TV networks, and ended up airing on only one channel. It has however picked 168,231 views on youTube. So I guess it's not that bad ;) (Update: YouTube numbers are up to 171,595! That's over 3,000 views in just a few days!)
